Just released! Keyword Blaze. A brand new web master, internet marketer keyword research tool, currently Free. Keywords, the phrase that searchers ‘search’ for, are very important to determine and use to best position ones website or blog.
A ‘keyword’ is what people are searching for, so you want the best ‘wording’ for your website, blog post, to optimize for typical search words related to your site. This can, and is being done with Google’s own External Keyword tool, which is, of course, free. It is web based, so you don’t have a project or program you would run, you simply go to the website, I have this link bookmarked and go to it quite often https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal .
I have played with a bunch of Keyword tools and software over the years, most paid, some free. There was a ‘Keyword Analyzer” that a Brad Callen was selling a few years ago that was quite good. He has a newer ‘niche research’ tool, but I personally didn’t care much for it. He made an effort to simplify it and, I think, he made it too simple. There are a few crazy expensive ones out there too. I think the highest was $1997 for a clunky piece of software, that did a pretty poor job. In all honesty, there are only a small handful of Keyword tools, or software, that I would recommend, and there is a lot of them out there…so be careful.
One of my current favorites which I have been using recently, is Traffic Travis by Mark Ling. I use this software for a lot of my SEO work and research and I have had some good results with it. I still am using it for tracking my backlinks, searching competing sites, checking search engine ranking, etc. Until today, I was also using it for all my Google keyword research, it has built in Google External Keyword tool. I like Traffic Travis and highly recommend it, it keeps it simple and it works and there is a free version (I have the paid upgrade). For the actual Google External Keyword tool built into Traffic Travis, I have found it a bit lacking in features (although it would not surprise me to see Mark dump a bunch on money into upgrading it to compete with this new tool). Healthy competition keeps us marketers equipped with some powerful tools and competitive prices so I say bring it on!
I just downloaded and have been working with a brand new free Google External keyword Tool just released, “Keyword Blaze”. It has been developed by Steve Clayton and Tim Godfrey, developers of the popular Commission Blueprint training product. These guys have developed a number of premium tools and software, all of which, to date, have had good reviews. They have been developing software and training programs for years and have amassed a large and growing ‘fan’ network, definitely a company to keep an ‘eye’ on as I am sure they will have future software, tools and training continually coming out worth checking out.
So far, I am impressed with this new software. It utilizes the Google External Keyword tool and takes it a bunch of steps further by enabling you see more metrics, such as detailed competition stats (including analyzing your competitions SEO), ‘buying’ keywords, long tail keyword and more. This allows one to really drill down into you Google keyword data and find high searched keywords with lower competition.
Currently Keyword Blaze is free. With other products/services these guys put out, they typically ‘close the doors’ once they have x number of users. I think this is to ensure they are able to provide their customer base with decent customer support. I am not sure which way they will go with this one, charge for it in the future or simply limit access. So, if you have any interest/need in conducting Keyword research, you should go and check to see if Keyword Blaze is still available for free and download it, check here, Keyword Blaze.
