Training With Google Adwords and Marketing Online
Each year, more and more companies use Google Adwords as an affordable medium for advertising over the Internet. A Google Adwords campaign is an easy, cheap, yet effective way to market a company’s products and services. With regular print and broadcast advertising, you have to think of ways for the ad to directly hit your target market. With a Google Adwords campaign, you efforts are targeted to people that are specifically searching for your keywords. Some research is needed to determine what keywords your prospective customer is typing into Google.
With popular search engines such as Google offering such a simple cost effective advertising medium, any business, big or small can easily attract prospective customers.
1. Create a Google adwords campaign and use it effectively.
Offering adword campaign services is Google’s main cup of tea, and they will profit from you whether your company earns from these campaigns or not. You would not want to just give your money to Google without gaining any results so the key here is to use the tools that they offer to your advantage. There are a lot of different paid tools for doing keyword research, but, Googles tool (which are all free), are all that is needed. The Google Keyword tool, is a powerful tool for researching and discovering keyword variations that your prospective visitors are using, the monthly search volume and the advertiser competition.
2. Use the tools to target your audience.
Setting up a campaign in Google adwords properly is key. If you do not set this up properly, then your ads might be offered to regions or countrys or languages outside of your target audience, which can result in wasted advertising (and money). You want to be sure you specify your target language and regions. For most English sites, the US, Canada, Australia and the UK are as much as you should add. However, you may want to narrow it down even more, right down to only displaying to searchers within your city.
3. Compose and design your ad.
To maximize your time and investment, you want to attract only relevant “interested” clicks. When composing an ad, make it brief, informative and attention-grabbing all at the same time. Bear in mind that it does not necessarily mean that once a visitor goes to your web site, they will stay there. It is up to your landing page to compel the surfer to stick around and check out what you have to offer. Web surfers are picky and quick to hit the back button, so you have to be quick to grab their attention.
4. Choose the correct keyword.
This is one of the most difficult parts when it comes to the adword campaign process. Use lay man’s terms as much as possible. Put yourself in the shoes of the person searching for what you offer. What would you search if you were looking? What would you want to see on a page to compel you to spend more time there? Googles Keyword tool will help to build a list of relevant terms to consider. Start with a list of keywords, as your campaign runs, you will begin to see which terms are getting you the best clicks, at the best cost. As your ads run, Google assigns a quality score. As your Quality Score improves, you can lower your maximum bid and still have the same position on Googles search.
