Dreamweaver Alternatives- Free Editor and XSitePro 2 Discount
Economics, climbing financial demand, job dissatisfaction are all driving forces for the growing number of people looking to the web for earning potential. Most of us don’t know much when it comes to web design. We have all heard of the big programs like Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver is a Big Feature packed
Web Development Program. It is a Great Tool for the trained and experienced web developer. If you haven’t taken a course in Dreamweaver or have a small fortune to spend on it, it’s not much use for many of us ‘newbies’. This software, albeit one of the best in its league, is Way to complicated for most people to build and manage a website. A Pro web designer can turn Amazing sites with Software such as Dreamweaver. But it simply NOT a Newbie Friendly Program. So is there alternatives
for Dreamweaver? Are there any good Free Editors? One of the best Dreamweaver Alternatives out there is XSite Pro 2. Save $100 on this award winning program
There are some easier Tools one can use, some of which are free.I do much of my minor editing using one of these free tools. The best Free HTML Editors I have found are;
nvu (now Kompozer)
and
1st Page
These are both simple and act much like your standard Word Processing Program
(such as Word for Windows). One doesn’t need to have a bunch of HTML knowledge or experience. What I really appreciate with these programs is they are simple. There isn’t a lot of complex
commands and ‘tricks’ to build a simple html/webpage. Each of these free editors allow you to add and resize images, insert links, manipulate fonts, create tables, etc. There does come a point though
when these programs start to show some shortcomings. It can be cumbersome working with multiple pages, link creation, SEO, etc. Basic and simple Web Design is achievable using these Free Editors. But when it comes time for a Web Developer to ‘beef up’ their site, a Dreamweaver alternative is the best bet. Dreamweaver is pricey and Big. There have been a few program that have come out that simplify things quite a bit. Microsofts Front Page is not bad. Another exists on the Internet Marketplace that is Very Good. XSitePro is a fraction of the cost of Dreamweaver and FAR more User Friendly. It incorporates simple little tools and functions to help design the best URL’s, manage pages and assist with Search Engine Optimization. The software is normally around $300. Excellent content…keep up the good work!
Dreamweaver is a powerful program and, if one can afford it, it is handy to have around. I do really like the SEO automation that is built into Xsite Pro. But for small html edits, quick jobs and other assorted tasks I use Nvu, which is a free html editor. It can be downloaded free here.
Cheers!
